Before permits can be issued, a contractor must be assigned for each permit type required by the project.
If you need to assign contractors to your project, it will be flagged as an Action Item.
To assign a contractor:
- Log in to your eBuild account.
- Click the Manage button for the project.
- Assign the contractor that will be doing the work for each permit type.
On the Manage Project page, you will see the permits for your project.
You can directly assign the contractor to a permit by Construction Contractors Board (CCB) license number or you can seach for the contractor by name.
Special considerations
- Each contractor must have an active CCB license.
- Contractors must have an active license and the appropriate license for the work.
- Plumbing contractors must have a plumbing business license.
- Electrical contractors must have an electrical contractor license.
- If your project includes electrical work that will be done by a licensed electrical contractor, the supervising electrician must submit a signed electrical application for your project.
Contact permit staff at 541-682-5505 if any of the following apply:
- You cannot locate your contractor in the system.
- You need to change a contractor previously assigned.
- You are the building or property owner and you intend to do the electrical work yourself.
